SBI PO SYLLABUS
In this article we will discuss about the SBI PO syllabus. The SBI PO is the most important exam in the country and lakhs of candidates appear for this exam each year.
The SBI syllabus is divided into three tiers-
- Preliminary exam (online written test)
- Mains exam(online written test)
- Interview session.
SBI Preliminary Examination- The candidates who qualify for the SBI PO preliminary exam will be eligible to move to the mains exam. This Exam consists of three papers: English Language, Numerical Aptitude and General Intelligence.
English Syllabus consists of Reading comprehension, Fill in the blanks, cloze test, Para jumbles, vocabulary, paragraph completion, error spotting, synonyms, Antonyms, and Miscellaneous. In this test the candidate’s writing ability will be tested.
Numerical Aptitude consists of simplification, profit and loss, Work and time, simple Interest, Compound Interest, Probability, ratio and proportion, Percentage, Data Interpretation and Mensuration.
General Intelligence- This syllabus consists of alphanumeric series, Logical Reasoning, Data sufficiency, Alphabet test, Seating arrangement, Coding and decoding, Puzzle, Tabulation, syllogism, Blood relation, Input and Output. This test includes some question to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols.
SBI PO mains exam- The syllabus for SBI PO mains exam consists of four major sections:
- Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Reasoning and Computer Aptitude
- General, Economy and Banking Awareness
- English Language
The SBI PO Mains exam comprises a descriptive test as well. It consists of two questions: letter writing and essay. Candidates need to score passing marks in descriptive paper as well to qualify the mains exam.
The SBI PO syllabus for Group Discussion and Interview- Group Discussion and Interview are the final stage of selection for the candidates who qualify the first two phases of SBI PO exam and the candidates who clear all the phases of the exam will receive a joining letter from SBI stating the joining formalities, joining date and place of joining.
