Staff Selection Commission (SSC) enrolls group C post of Multi Tasking Staff in different states and union territories. In this article we will discuss about the details of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) syllabus in details. The SSC MTS syllabus consists of 4 sections which include General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness.

Syllabus-

Paper 1- Paper 1 consists of General Intelligence, Numerical Ability, English Language and General Awareness. Questions on ‘General Intelligence and Reasoning’ will be non-verbal. ‘Numerical Aptitude and General English’ will be simple and questions on General Awareness will be of similar standards.

General Intelligence- The SSC MTS syllabus for  General intelligence includes topics like coding Decoding, word formation, problem solving, decision making, visual memory, arithmetical number series. The test includes some questions to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols.

Numerical Aptitude- The SSC MTS syllabus for Numerical Aptitude includes topic like simplification, Interest, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Relationship between numbers, Profit and loss, Use of tables and graphs, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, Decimals, Whole numbers, Fractions etc.

English Language- In English Language the candidate’s writing ability will be tested. This section will consist of 25 questions. The SSC MTS syllabus for English Language includes topic like Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Spellings, Idioms and Phrases meaning etc.

General Awareness- The SSC MTS syllabus for General Awareness consists of topic belonging to science, static and others including current affairs and many more. Questions will be set to test the ability of a candidate’s general awareness of the environment, and its application to the society. This subject will include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries, about sports, history of India and World, Geography of India and World, Political Science, Economics and so on. Paper 2- This Paper will be set in English, Hindi. Candidates will be asked to write one short essay or letter in English and Hindi each. As mentioned in 8th schedule of Indian Constitution candidates can opt to write any essay or letter in any Indian Language.
